Church House Gallery

The upstairs Gallery is Church House’s architectural gem. It still has its original seven bay arch-braced purlin roof.

Its dimensions are: 49ft by 16ft (15m x 5m), and has tables and chairs to accommodate up to 80 people.

It has two complementary newly installed lighting facilities:

~ Three magnificent chandeliers: principally for Receptions and evening functions.
~ For Art Exhibitions, the wall spaces between the Gallery’s bays are lit by custom built spot lights suspended from the roof.

Evening Event

For winter months a new oil-fired boiler provides contemporary radiator central heating of the Gallery. There is also a wood burner in the Gallery - to add to the cosiness of events & functions held there in the winter.

The Gallery has two entrances: a direct external flight of stairs from the road, and an internal staircase up from the Servery. Given the listed building status of Church House, it has not been possible to provide wheelchair access to the Gallery.
